Segeln am Neuen Strand

Pure paradise for sailors

Do the boards that mean the world to you also rock gently up and down? Or does sailing jargon still sound like a foreign language to you? Close your eyes and picture this: all around, the vast expanse of the lake, the sun-drenched sky above, the gentle caress of the sun on your skin, and the wind whispering through your sails – pure freedom. That’s what you’ll experience in all its glory at Neuer Strand on Lake Neusiedl.

A southerly wind? Perfect! Here, you’ve got all the space and equipment you need. Our revamped marina, swimming spots, and on-site water sports schools guarantee maximum fun and ideal conditions to turn your sailing dreams into reality.

A gentle shore at Neuer Strand

Neuer Strand is your perfect gateway to maritime adventures. Our well-lit docks ensure safety even after dark, and the new electrical and water connections provide added convenience at the boat berths. And thanks to our crane and rigging mast, boat maintenance is a breeze. For those who wish to fully unwind, our sailmaker, Eva Heine, offers professional support, taking care not only of your rigging but also boat interiors. And when the season winds down, our dry berths allow for easy winter storage.

Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or a novice, whether you have your own boat or want to rent one – at Neuer Strand, everyone’s welcome. For overnight guests, we offer convenient guest berths (call +43 2683 5252 or email verwaltung@neuerstrand.at to make a booking).

The sailboat marina

Taking a boat out on the lake – that means hitting the water first thing, mooring up for lunch at one of the many lakeside restaurants and watching the sun go down behind the Schneeberg mountain in the evening. The Breitenbrunn lakeside resort provides the ideal starting point for such days out.

Well-lit docks ensure safety even after dark, and the completely new electrical and water connections provide the necessary infrastructure at the berths. Some of these come with a crane and rigging mast, thus allowing any work on the boats to be carried out at eye level.

Another benefit: Breitenbrunn has its own sailmaker in Eva Heine, who takes care not only of your rigging but also of your boat’s interior. And anyone wishing to sail as part of a club will find themselves right at home at the Lakeside Sailing Club. Even passionate sailors are still picking up the odd trick or two in the sailing schools.

The moorings in the marina provide seasonal renters with a place to keep their boats for the long-term. Registration required. Please contact us on +43 26883 5252 or at verwaltung@neuerstrand.at

Sailmaker Eva Heine

A boat should bring its owner joy. Yet what represents adventure, freedom and fun for the crew, proves to be a stress test for any boat in the long run: wind and waves, sunlight and weather conditions in general take their toll on any material.
